Does everybody have body language? Yes, everyone has body language. Body language is the term for communication using body movements or gestures instead of, or in addition to, sounds, verbal language or other communication. (Wikipedia) Body language or non verbal communication is a more authentic form of communication than verbal communication.
Non verbal communication involves those nonverbal stimuli in a communication setting that are generated by both the source (speaker) and his or her use of the environment; the potential message has value for the source or receiver (listener).
People do not generally use body language consciously. Instead, gestures and body language are automatic responses to others in the environment. (Body language communicates both responses positive and negative). A person can say one thing but his/her body language is saying something different. For example, thumbs up are signal positive but shaking the head side to side negative. For example if your boss tells an employee to do something that he/she does not want to do, the persons mouth says ‘yes” but if the person is tapping his/her foot ad shaking his/her leg, the contradictable may say signals may confuse the boss. The way a person looks at others, the way he/she stands, and the way he/she gesture is often automatic or unconscious.
There are many types of body languages in the world. Every culture has different ways of expressing itself through gestures and non verbal communication. Humans instinctively know what a person is feeling by how he/she looks or gestures.
